Business Bio (to be listed in Mentor Directory)
Heritage Restoration, Inc.’s (HRI) principle and employees have been active in the historic preservation field for over thirty years, and restoring windows for about 20 years. HRI has supervised and completed projects for such clients as: the National Park Service; Historic New England; New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; Bristol Historical Society; Blithewold Mansion and Arboretum; United States Naval Station Newport; State of Rhode Island; as well as hundreds of regional private historic homes and buildings.

HRI exclusively provides general contracting services for historic buildings. Significant historic occupied buildings require a sensitive approach, respecting the building’s occupants for egress and use, while completing a project efficiently, cleanly and professionally. Although despite HRI’s exclusivity to historic buildings, the crew utilizes current trade skills to maintain cost efficiency and can practically and sympathetically incorporate modern technologies into sensitive historic resources.

In 2001, HRI developed a comprehensive window restoration division to properly, and cost effectively, restore historic windows. HRI has been tuning up, restoring and making energy efficient several hundred windows over the past 11 years. HRI has developed and adapted to evolving technologies, and remains true to what’s most important; maintaining historic window function and integrity.
